We need to work together effectively to ensure that our young people's potential shines through. Impacting self-belief to engage with professionals and be able to source funding and opportunities they will encounter. Engagement skills are paramount for young people progressing towards independent living; they will need to access services over time that can provide opportunities and support when they might need them. We understand that engagement can be challenging for some young people overall, but specifically challenging for young people living with trauma or other challenges such as autism. Therefore, the recognition of diversity is vital, and having an individualised approach to young people is important to support engagement.
